Monday 18 November 2019 – Ronald McDonald House Charities has been supporting the families of sick children in Australia since 1981, and now has Houses in eighteen locations across the country, including its longest-established in Sydney’s Westmead, which provides services to around 1360 families per year. TravelManagers recently contributed fifteen eager volunteers to take part in ‘Meals from the Heart’, a program in which participants prepare and serve food to the families staying at Ronald McDonald House.

TravelManagers sent a team of 15 PTMs and NPO team members to prepare and serve dinner for around 200 people staying at Ronald McDonald House in west Sydney. Saturday 10 August 2019 – TravelManagers’ twelfth annual National Conference got under way on Friday morning, with more than 395 participants attending the three-day Perth event. Although the conference officially opened at 10am, Perth time, conference attendees have been arriving in Perth all week to participate in various pre-conference events including optional tours of Margaret River, Rottnest Island and Perth and the traditional golf tournament, which this year was held at Wembley Golf Course.

Wednesday 03 April 2019 – When Cruiseco’s annual national conference took place in Auckland the weekend before last, bringing together more than 250-member travel agencies from across Australia and New Zealand, one of the highlights of the three-day event was the Awards Night, which was held within the grand setting of the city’s War Memorial Museum. TravelManagers was represented at the awards by personal travel manager (PTM), Caroline Cannon, who accepted three major awards on the company’s behalf.

Wednesday 19 December 2018 – With 2018 rapidly drawing to a close, TravelManagers has completed their final series of state meetings for the year, bringing together personal travel managers (PTMs) from around the country in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth to mark the end of another successful year. For Tasmania-based PTMs, the format was slightly different, with each PTM having a one-on-one catch-up with their Business Partnership Manager (BPM) during November, followed by a Christmas get-together.

After just two years with TravelManagers, personal travel manager (PTM) Jo Patton from Ulladulla has just been confirmed as one of four finalists for the industry’s prestigious 2018 Avis Travel Agents Scholarship. For many of the personal travel managers (PTMs) who attended TravelManagers’ recent annual national conference in Honolulu, the chance to extend their stay and join one of the pre- or post-conference famils was too great to pass up. For thirteen participants, this entailed a four-day, three nights experiencing the highlights of the island of Oahu, from outrigger canoe surfing at Waikiki Beach to a tour of some of Hollywood’s most famous movie locations at Kualoa Private Nature Reserve.
