Personal Travel Manager Organizes Amazing Race for Charity
Personal Travel Manager moved by Spinal Muscular Atrophy Plight.
TravelManagers’ personal travel manager, Melanie Carter representative for Scoresby in Victoria has partnered with Spinal Muscular Atrophy to organize the charities major fundraiser for the year, an Amazing Race event scheduled for October. Through a chance meeting with the Association’s CEO Julie Cini, Carter was so moved by the work this charity does it was an instant realisation she wanted to help by raising much-needed funds.
“I joined TravelManagers for many reasons, one of which was to have the ability to give back within my community. Through my business, I have been able to offer sponsorship to small community and charity events however the Amazing Race event is by far my biggest undertaking. Knowing that I can help raise funds through my experience and expertise is incredibly rewarding”
The goal is to fundraise in excess of $100,000. All of the money raised will go to the Spinal Muscular Atrophy Association for research into the disease and support services for the family.
