A select group of personal travel managers recently enjoyed a five-night Club Med Cherating Beach Malaysia experience. The famil included a night in Kuala Lumpur as part of an exclusive TravelManagers educational, hosted by Club Med and Malaysian Airlines.
Escorted by Club Med representative Luke Skarbek, participating personal travel managers were Victoria based Maisie Noonan; New South Wales representatives Tanya Tyler, Jane Fowler, Michelle Michael- Pecora, Jason Smith and Irena Bryant with National Partnership Office representative Pru Gallagher.
Located just a forty-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur, the personal travel managers all agree Club Med Cherating Beach with its beautiful beaches, unique experiences and genuinely friendly people make for a fantastic holiday experience.

“Club Med just offers so much and the great thing is that you can do as much or as little as you like. I certainly made the most of their huge range of activities and really got involved! With an all inclusive concept that its quite easy to over indulge so the yoga and fitness classes along with the flying fox and rope course was a great way to stay in shape but also have lots of fun. The standout highlight for Noonan, as reflected by all of the personal travel managers was the once in a lifetime opportunity to release baby turtles back into their natural habitat.
“Club Med Cherating Beach has a turtle hatchery and being able to witness the turtles walk into the ocean for the very first time was truly a magical experience. It is definitely an activity I will be recommending – it is seasonal so be sure to check first before promising clients.”

The Little Circus where children experience the joys of the circus and petit cooking school were two standout activities where you could see the kids having an absolute ball,” says Michael- Pecora.

“The adults only zen pool area offers exactly what you would expect – peace, tranquility and relaxation. With its mesmerising views out across the beach to the ocean and lush jungles beyond, it was simply a wonderful place to escape to. For couples I would highly recommend dining at the specialty restaurant at least once as provides a pleasant change for the daily buffets that are part of the all-inclusive price.”
The personal travel managers also took the opportunity to explore Cherating Village outside of Club Med.
“I can highly recommend the local tour to see the fireflies, it was an incredible experience and again something truly unique that you don’t get to see everyday. Its well worth venturing out to try the local cuisine outside of Club Med, its very affordable and the seafood is amazing,” says Smith.
